Maa Tara Tarini Temple is a popular Hindu Mandir in Odisha. It is a major temple of Adi Shakti. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Tara and Tarini. It is located on the Kumari Hills on the banks of the Rushikulya River near Purushottampur in the Ganjam district of Odisha, about 28 km from Brahmapur city. It is one of the important temples of Shaktism in India.
The famous temple of Tara-Tarini, a small but beautiful temple is seen in the Kumari Hills. Now worship at this important center of the Shakta cult has continued since time immemorial. Two anthropomorphic stones with gold and silver ornaments, and Uma, seen as a human being, are the main shrines of this temple, representing Goddess Tara and Tarini. This temple is visited by millions of devotees every year.

There are 999 steps to reach the temple on the front side of the hill, and there is also a paved road for vehicles on the back side of the hill, which facilitates the devotees to reach the back. Devotees can also book the Ariel Ropeway (Cable Car) from Taratarini Foothill to Top Hill Temple Place. The first inclined Rope Car of Orissa was made by Ropeway Resorts Pvt. Special Khechidi Bhoga
In the Tara Tarini Temple, many festivals are celebrated, but the Chaitra Jatra and Sankranti Mela are famous. On the festival occasion, the looks of people appeared during these days. Special Rituals and Poojas are offered by the temple. The special Khechidi Bhoga is one of the famous Parasadam offered to the devotees during the festival. It is served to the deities and is later sold to devotees for ₹7 per serving from Monday midnight till 6 PM Tuesday.
