Let us tell you the Jhandewalan Temple was discovered by a famous textile merchant named Bhagat Badri Dass during the 18th Century. He often visited the Delhi Ridge of the Aravalli range, which was covered with flora and fauna. While digging near the waterfall, he found the idol of Jhandewali Mata and a stone Shivlinga with a carving of a snake. Das built a temple at the same place. Now the temple is run and maintained by the Badri Bhagat Jhandewalan Temple Society Trust, named after the founder.
