The Annapoorneshwari Temple also known as the Horanadu Annapoorneshwari Temple is a prominent Hindu shrine located in Horanadu, Karnataka, India, 100 km from Chikmagalur in the thick forests and valleys of the Western Ghats of Karnataka. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Annapoorneshwari (Parvati). It is situated on the banks of the river Bhadra. This temple is also an attraction for tourists because of the surrounded by the natural vegetation, forest, green lands, and natural beauty of the Western Ghats.

However, the great idol of Adishaktiyatmak Sri Annapoorneshwari Pratishthapana was done by His Holiness Agastya Maharshi many centuries ago. The Horanadu Annapoorneshwari is one of the prominent Parwathi temples in South India. It is one of the sacred places, where thousands of devotees come across the world. So the temple has set some Dress codes to maintain the prestige and dignity of the temple. So, make sure to follow the dress code you will be prohibited from making a Darshan in the temple.

As per the temple guidelines, The Darshan of Sri Matha is only available for Men/ Boys wearing traditional attire such as Pants, Shirts, and Dhoti/ Lungi. Girls/ ladies compulsorily should wear Sarees or any decent traditional dress.
