Hasanamba Temple is one of the most prominent Hindu shrines in South India. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Shakti, also called Ambā or Ambe which means mother. It is located in the Hassan district of Karnataka State. This temple was built in the 12th century CE by Krishnappa Nayaka and Sanjeeva Nayaka. It has a statue of Hasanamba Devi hidden in an ant hill. Earlier the name of this city was Singhasan Puri and now it is called Hassan after Hasanamba.

Hasanamba Temple Darshan Timings 2025
The Hasanamba Temple is opened once a year during the Hindu festival Deepavali in October. Maa Shakti Devi Darshan is possible once a year. Devi darshan cannot be made anytime one wishes to see. Ashvaija full Moon day of every year, or the following Thursday the doors will be opened and closed on the day next to Balipadyami (Deepavali) Rest of the period, the temple is locked. The Goddess will always shower her blessings on her devotees and remove their troubles.

Hasanamba Temple Aarti/ Pooja Offerings
As we all know, the temple only opens once a year so pooja in the temple is also limited. There is not much pooja performed in the temple by devotees, except the priest performs on that day. Another time will be dedicated to the devotee for the darshan of Maa Shakti.

Temple Entry Ticket Price
At the Hasanamba Temple, lakhs of people appeared for Darshan of Maa Shakti. Last year a crowd of 20 to 40 lakh appeared for the Darshan. Every year the number of devotees will increase rapidly. The entry fees in the temple are free and paid, both are offered. To manage the temple crowd the paid VIP Darshna tickets are also provided by the administration. The Special Entry Tickets are below;
- Special Ticket of ₹300: A special ticket with more facilities like Darshan and another offering.
- Special ₹1,000 Ticket: A special ticket that allows entry within a couple of hours
The Free Entry takes time for Darshan. But, on the other hand, there is special tickets are sold at ₹300 and ₹1,000 each. Those who buy tickets worth ₹1,000 get entry within a couple of hours. Besides them, there are special passes meant for VIPs. But, even the queue of people with VIP passes is getting longer.
