Sri Varasidhi Vinayaka Swamy Temple also known as the Kanipakam Temple is a prominent Hindu shrine of Ganesha. It is located at Kanipakam in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The temple is about 11 km from Chittoor and 68 km from Tirupati. This temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and it is one of the sacred shrines, primarily visited by the devotees of Ganpati.

As per the historical records, the temple was built in the early 11th century by Chola emperor Kulothunga I and was further expanded by the Vijayanagara emperors in 1336. The temple manifests the unique Dravidian architectural style. Vinayaka is the main deity of the temple. According to mythology, it is believed that the deity is self-manifested. The deity is always seen in a well filled with water.

The major attraction at Kanipakam Temple is Lord Vinayaka, a form of Ganesha. This temple is under the control of the Endowments department of Andhra Pradesh, which will appoint a trust board of 15 members to administer the place. Due to the heavy crowd, Darshan and Sevas at the temple can be booked online by devotees. Now, people can book the darshan and seva at the temple free of cost.

Follow the complete step-by-step process to book the Online Darshan/ Seva Ticket at Sri Varasidhi Vinayaka Swamy Temple, Kanipakam;

  1. Go to the official website of the Kanipakam Temple, i.e., https://srikanipakadevasthanam.org/.
  2. A web homepage will appear on the screen. Here, navigate through the “Sevas & Darshanam”.
  3. Here, select the Darshanam, Pratyaksha Seva, or Paroksha Seva. A new page will open.
  4. A type of Seva & Darshan will appear on the screen. Select the appropriate one.
  5. Now you have to click on the ‘Book Now’ button. Then, you will be directed to the next page.
  6. The login interface will be open. If you are not registered, then click on the Sign Up button.
  7. Enter the Name, Phone Number, and Password, and confirm the password.
  8. Then log in to your account, and you will be redirected to the user Dashboard.
  9. Here again select Darshanam/ Seva Type and select Date, Number of Persons, and enter Mobile Number.
  10. Next, enter the name,  DOB, and then select gender.
  11. After that, select the ID Proof and enter the ID Proof number.
  12. Click on the confirm booking, and you will reach the payment page.
  13. Pay the Seva and Darshan Price, and your ticket will be booked.
  14. Now you will get the confirmation on your registered mobile number through SMS.

Note: All the Pilgrims in group ticket have to report together. At the time of entry, all pilgrims shall produce the same original Photo ID (Aadhar Card) used during booking.
